I am no longer selling at Dazzling Scraps! I am going though some personal issues right now that I cant go into, but I just wanted to let you guys know. Dazzling scraps is a great store with tons of great designers so I'm sure they wont miss me at all lol!

p.s. The freebie I mentioned recently.....well it might not be ready for a while yet, theres still alot needing done in it, and well, because I'm having some persoanl issues, I cant get working on it as of yet! I will post it as a freebie tho once it's done.

Mask Tutorial

Ok so lately a few people have mailed and asek me about my mask tutorial.....I made it last year, but when I moved webhosts.....My mask tutorial didnt get added cos there werent that many hits on it lol. Anyway, Ive decided to stick it on my blog here, that way, if anyone wants it, it's here.

A few people have asked me to write a mask tutorial, so I thought I'd share with you how I make mine. It's very basic, you dont need alot of PSP knowledge to use this tutorial.

Lets begin!

1. Open a new canvas 600x600 and fill black.

2. Grab your preset shape tool set to circle, inner, white, outer, null. Draw out a large circle,
objects, align, center in canvas. Convert to raster.

3. Grab your smudge tool, settings as follows.

4. I used a flower brush, but you can use any kind of brush for this part.

5. Go to the edge of your circle anywhere on your canvas, start pushing the cirlce in towards
itself.

6. Continue to do this all the way around so you have a ragged edge. I also smudge the white
outward, but it depends on the size of your circle. You dont want any of the white to
touch the edge of your canvas, or else you'll notice a line around your tag when you use the
mask. Like below.

7. You should now have a canvas that looks smilar to this

8. Once happy with your new mask...save it as a jpeg, remember to give it a name too so that
people know it belongs to you, you never know,
you may start making tons of masks and sharing them :P

There are tons of different things you can use to make masks, I use brushes, ding fonts, preset shapes, lots of different filters etc,
so play around with it once you start, there is so much you can do with the effects of PSP ;)

Well what can I say.....I've had a really bad virus on my PC.....but a good friend of mine was able to get it off and now am almost back to normal. I cant purchase anything online tho cos I'm not totally trusting my PC yet, but soon my PC will be stripped back to warehouse quality lol, and all my things will need to be reinstalled. So I may be absent for another little while yet. But I have had some good ideas while Ive been away so once I get back up and running.....I'm gonna have a good play in PSP and see what I come up with =oD

OK I posted to let you guys know about my baby boy.....well, seems my baby girlie didnt want to be outdone and has come down with Scarlet Fever also =(
I havent had much time at all, I went and made some goodies tonight for a new Kit I'm working on which might be available tomorrow depending on how my babies are lol. Other than that.....Ive been busy busy busy as you can imagine.

Ethan is much better tho which is great, still a bit sleepy tho, but Kiana is not handling her Scarlet Fever so well, she's been throwing up all over the place.....not good! I'm hoping that she wont be sick tomorrow and maybe the Penicillin might get a chance to work on her little body.

I might be back tomorrow with a kit and a freebie, if not, hopefully Saturday =D

Scarlet Fever!

It's lovely isnt it, or at least it sounds nice lol.

It was my youngest boys Burpday yesterday and he spent most of it not feeling well =(

My niece was recently in hospital with Scarlet Fever, and when I noticed his tongue was a bit furry with blotches, I got him an appointment as soon as I could. He had already been ill and spending alot of time asleep.

He had a throat swab taken just to be sure, and we got the confirmation today, he has group A Strep in the throat.....in other words, he has Scarlet Fever lol.

He seems to be better today tho as in, hes not in bed lol. His tongue looks weird, but hes excited about a whole week off school as you can imagine!

So anyway, lets hope it doesnt stay too long and it doesnt spread to the other 3 kiddies.....Oh my, can you imagine?????

I'm going into hiding lol

My eye is finally feeling better. I still have fuzzy vision lol, but the swelling is now almost gone.
I had pain in my cheekbone earlier, but that is going now also, thankfully.

Sorry to anyone who has mailed me over the last few days asking to be on my CT team.....Ive been poorly.
I now have Cellulitis....in my eye. Its very painful, and very very swollen, but hopefully it will be ok within a few days. I have until tomorrow morning to see some improvement, or else Ill be admitted into hospital to get an intravenous drip of antibiotics =
OUCH!!!

Anyway, wanted to let you know that Im extending the CT call for a few more days as Ive not been on the PC much, so nows your chance to get your mail in lol.

wow, I just spotted this in an email from MPT and thought I would post it on my blog too.

Well I'm finally finished with the charity kit I talked about in a earlier post! For those of you just coming in and didn't see the other post this kit is for a very sweet, dear friend of mine who is currently living with bone cancer. For those of you who don't know what bone cancer is or does to your body I suggest looking it up and becoming aware of it. This is a horrible, nasty cancer (as they all are)!! But it's also one you don't hear much about. Well you see not only is she living with this disease but she also has a HIGH medical expense debt and a 10 year old daughter. All she wants for Christmas is to be able to provide a great Christmas morning for her daughter. I know we are all having it rough right now but this kit will help someone give for her child and give her one more hope to hang on to. Sadly nobody knows what Christmas will be her last so PLEASE help me, help her make it a GREAT one!!
**Please feel free to pass on the information about this kit and where to get it to all your friends, I know if we all come together we can make this little girls Christmas amazing and hopefully help with the climbing medical expenses**

Ive been working on a new kit which uses some commercial

use items by the fantastic Suzanne Woolcott!

Its very cute, and I love the colours.

Unfortunately, the kit is only available in Taggers Size at the moment,

but I plan on making a similar one full size sometime soon.

This was the best piccie I could get =(
It doesnt really do it Justice, the pink is a lovely bright pink,
but with having a not so good camera, it just didnt turn out as well as it could have!

I purposely didnt get the floor in because it's still bare lol. It's so close to Christmas now, so I wont get anything else for the house now until afterwards =D
The area in the piccie is where I used to have 2 very large cupboards. as you can see from my last post, the piccies there were taken during this wall being knocked down lol. My Kitchen is now much bigger than before =D I originally had 2 units under the window, and 2 units opposite.
Now my Kitchen has units all the around it, it's fabulous lol.

I will try to get a better piccie today, I think the fact it was evening that I took this piccie didnt help any with the colour etc lol.

A little update too, I forgot to let you all know how Shaun and Kennedy did.....well, they were singing 'Walking On Sunshine' and also did a routine to it too.....we get to Glasgow, and they dont provide you with a backing track, so they had to do the routine with no music. They did awesome tho lol. We were told beforehand that no-one would be told if they were successful or not, we would be informed by letter, or telephone call lol. So if we get a call, they have made it to the next round of auditions.....if we get a letter, unfortunately they havent made it! It could take as a long as January for them to find out. Lets hope they get some news sooon.

Finally, I snapped up some play tme this morning lol. Kiddies were still asleep, so I had a lil play in PSP to pass the time. Heres what I came up with. It uses one of the new masks Im working on lol. Im hoping to have another folder available in the next few days as there are some Halloween type masks in there =D.
